A container truck allegedly lost its brakes and rammed into several motorcycles before crashing into a center island.

The incident occurred along C5 Road in Taguig City on June 18, Wednesday.

According to a report by GMA 7's '24 Oras,' the container truck struck a group of motorcycle riders, resulting in one fatality and two others injured.

The fatality was a female rider, while the injured were her back rider and another motorcycle rider. Police authorities confirmed that a total of three motorcycles were hit by the truck.

Tragically, the deceased victim was rolled over by the truck, resulting in her immediate death.

According to a report by Super Radyo DZBB, as shared in 24 Oras, the container truck, which was running fast at that moment, loses its brakes.

The truck driver attempted to stop, but it was already too late, and was brought to a halt across a center island.

The truck driver was safe and was immediately arrested by authorities.
