Mother finds 18-year-old daughter dead inside locked bedroom in Iloilo City

An 18-year-old girl was found dead by her own mother inside their home in Iloilo City, under mysterious and troubling circumstances.

According to a report by OnePH, the mother made the discovery after being forced to climb through her daughter’s bedroom window.

The door was locked from the inside, raising immediate concern. Upon entering, she found her daughter lifeless and without underwear.

While there were no visible traces of blood, the victim's face and body had wounds that appeared to be insect bites.

PCpt. Alberto Maguilimotan, Jr., Chief of Police of Tubungan MPS, Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO), shared details gathered from the family.

"Yung pajama niya at saka 'yung underwear niya, wala na po sa kanya, pero nung kinausap natin 'yung magulang at saka 'yung kapatid, usual lang naman daw po na ginagawa niya 'pag natulog siya doon, kasi nga mainit doon sa kwarto niya."

Despite this explanation, investigators are not ruling out foul play.

Authorities are exploring the possibility of an intrusion and s&xual assault, especially given the condition of the body and the circumstances surrounding the death.

Police currently have two persons of interest and are awaiting the results of the autopsy to confirm the cause of death.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to uncover the truth behind the young woman’s tragic and unsettling demise.
