A 34-year-old woman lost her life after being shot by a riding-in-tandem in Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City.

The incident took place on Thursday evening, with authorities suspecting that a dispute involving illegal drug trade was the motive behind the attack.

In footage captured by a security camera, the riding-in-tandem was seen turning onto F. Bautista Street, where the backrider fired at the victim.

The backrider even got off the motorcycle and shot the woman again while she was already lying on the ground.

The suspects quickly fled the crime scene after committing the crime.

According to the Valenzuela Police, as reported in ABS-CBN's 'TV Patrol,' the victim was dead on the spot.

She was reportedly meeting someone when she was shot and killed. The victim sustained at least 4 gunshot wounds, which resulted in her immediate death.

Police authorities are still investigating the real motive behind the crime. However, investigations revealed that the victim had just been released from prison last year, because of a drug-related case.

A witness whom the police interviewed also said that the victim didn't pay for a certain amount of illegal substance.

Barangay records also showed the victim's previous case of stealing in their area.

Meanwhile, CCTV backtracking is now being conducted by the police to locate the suspects.
