A dump truck fell into a cliff in Barangay Pichon, Caraga, Davao Oriental, resulting in 5 casualties.
In a report by GMA 7's '24 Oras,' the dump truck was nearly unrecognizable due to the extent of the damage.
Authorities stated that the dump truck was carrying gravel along with 9 individuals who were working for a construction company.
The incident took place on the morning of Wednesday, May 28, when the truck was on the downslope portion of the road and plunged into a cliff estimated to be around 80 meters deep.

The 5 casualties, including an engineer, were announced dead on the spot. Meanwhile, 5 others were injured, including the truck driver.
The casualties were reported to be stuck in by the truck and the gravel that it's carrying when the incident happened.
The injured victims who survived the fall were brought to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
The CARAGA Police is still investigating the incident.
