The nephew of one of the victims shared his grief: “Masakit para sa akin mawalan ng tito kasi parehas lang kami bumubuhay sa lolo ko, pamangkin namin, pero sana panagutan na lang ng driver at company ng driver yung nangyari sa tito ko,” said James Maralit.
Seven others were injured, including a 37-year-old motorcycle taxi rider who sustained wounds to his knees, hands, and face.
Several car passengers were also hurt, with the vehicle’s rear section completely crushed.

He claimed the vehicle lost its brakes while they were en route from Manila to Marikina for a delivery.
