A male suspect was arrested in Cebu City after stealing a mobile phone from inside a convenience store.

The act was caught on camera, showing the suspect entering the store while the staff was asleep at the time.

According to a report by TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' it took the suspect only a few seconds to take the mobile phone that was resting on a table before quickly leaving the store.

The video was later uploaded on social media in an effort to find the suspect's whereabouts.

In another store, a video of the suspect was taken. There, he was even smiling ang posing to the camera as if nothing had happened.

Eventually, the suspect was arrested by the authorities.

Using the translated version of his statement in the same report, the suspect confessed what he did with the money that he got from the stolen mobile phone:

"Ginastos ko sa mga barkada ko at aliw ko. Nanlalake ako. Mura lang, ₱150 lang," the suspect said.

He is currently detained in Mambaling Police Station and will be charged with theft.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
