A businesswoman was shot and later found dead inside a pickup along Palma Gil Street in Davao City.

Based on a report by TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the businesswoman died from four gunshot wounds.

The suspect behind the killing was a policeman who was said to be romantically involved with the victim.

It was reported that the suspect was assigned to DCPO Station 15 Ecoland in Davao City.

According to the investigations, the suspect and the victim got into a heated argument. The reason for their argument, however, was no longer mentioned.

The authorities believed that the crime of passion was the motive behind the crime.

The victim was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention, but she eventually passed away.

Meanwhile, the suspect used a taxi to flee from the crime scene. According to the police, he managed to visit her wife after the shooting incident.

However, the suspect's wife didn't let him in. Police said that, according to the wife, the suspect initially mentioned that he had done something wrong.

Eventually, the suspect turned himself in to the police authorities. Recovered from him was a firearm.

He is now detained and will be charged with murder.

Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
