A mother and her three young children died inside their home in Barangay San Vicente, Santa Maria, Bulacan.
They were found burned, and according to a neighbor, the eldest child, who was 6 years old, was still able to speak and say what happened.

In an interview by TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas', the neighbor shared that the child said, "Sabi niya, binuhusan kami ni mama ng gas and fire."
The youngest child died on the spot, while the mother and her two other children later passed away in the hospital.
Based on the investigation, the mother set all her three kids on fire, then set herself on fire after.
Before the incident, the mother reportedly filed a blotter report in the barangay saying she had a problem with her husband and her nosy parent-in-law.
According to Potenciano Lorenzo, Barangay Captain of San Vicente, the parent-in-law was allegedly urging the couple to fight.
After filing the blotter report, the tragic incident happened.
The mother reportedly locked their door and shutdown their water supply. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection recovered the paint thinner and matchbox inside the house.
The incident happened while the father of the kids was working in Batangas. He refused to give any statement about the incident and asked for privacy.
