A couple was stabbed by their neighbors, a father and son, in East Baluarte, Molo, Iloilo City.

According to a report by TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas Weekend,' the victims were allegedly making indirect remarks whenever the suspects passed by their house and were hoping the suspects would be arrested for using illegal substances.

The victims ended up in critical condition after sustaining multiple stab wounds, but they are now recovering in the hospital.

The 60-year-old suspect is currently in police custody, while his son remains at large.

"May teorya siya [suspek] na nakita siya na gumagamit ng pinagbabawal na droga, bini-videohan daw siya ng nanay, itong si alyas Fatima," said PCPT. RYAN CHRIST C. INOT, OIC, MOLO POLICE STATION 4. "Kaya buong akala niya na si itong alyas Fatima ay isang police asset kaya ganoon na lang ang galit niya."

Both will be charged with frustrated murder.

In the Philippines, frustrated murder happens when someone tries to kill another person and does everything needed to cause death, but the victim survives. This usually means the attack was very serious, but the victim lived because of quick help or medical treatment.

According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
