Two men were rescued from a violent gang initiation ritual known as the "30-Second Massacre" in Noveleta, Cavite, where they were subjected to repeated beatings as part of a hazing ceremony.

The disturbing incident resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals, including four minors.
The event came to light following a report by Saleema Refran for "24 Oras" on Wednesday.
Video footage obtained by authorities showed several men surrounding one of the victims.

In the clip, the victim is seen clutching his chest as he receives a barrage of punches and kicks.
The group appeared to be counting aloud, believed to be part of the ritual's process.
Police Major Sandie Caparroso, chief of the Noveleta Municipal Police Station, described the ritual as a violent initiation designed to test the resolve of prospective members.
“Yung tinawag nga nila yung pinaka-initiation rites na '30-second massacre' na kung saan pipili ang grupo ng mga miyembro at magsasagawa ng initiation—bubugbugin ang sasaling miyembro. Thirty seconds ‘yun na susuntukin siya sa iba't ibang bahagi ng katawan,” Caparroso said.
Authorities arrested members of the Temple Street or TST Gang after they were caught in the act of conducting the brutal initiation.
The suspects are now in custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the gang's operations and any other individuals involved.

Still in other news, a 65-year-old man, Nestor Rensales, died after voting in Oas, Albay during the midterm elections. Rensales, a stroke survivor, felt dizzy and collapsed shortly after casting his vote at Oas South Central Elementary School, ABS-CBN reported. His wife shared that he insisted on voting despite the heat and early crowd, believing his vote still mattered. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
