Rizal Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel Felipe Maraggun provided details regarding the circumstances surrounding the alleged abuse.
He stated that the initial incident involved the accused allegedly providing the minor with alcoholic beverages and mar1juana before the carnal act took place.
Subsequent instances reportedly occurred at the accused's residence after he had been drinking. The pattern of alleged abuse continued until the victim finally confided in her parents about the situation.
“Una is nag-inuman, pinagamit pa siya ng mar1juana nitong akusado and after that nangyari ‘yung pang-aabuso. Second time naman na nangyari, nakainom itong akusado, niyaya ulit itong biktima sa kanilang bahay. Ganun din sa pangatlo, nagkaroon din ng encounter sila and ‘yung last time doon na nagsumbong ‘yung biktima sa kanyang magulang,” Police Colonel Maraggun said.
Upon learning the details of the repeated abuse, the minor's parents promptly filed a formal complaint of abuse of a minor against the 27-year-old suspect.
This action led to the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Morong Regional Trial Court in April 2025. The Teresa Municipal Police Station then executed this warrant, leading to the suspect's capture.
Authorities have indicated the significance of this arrest by identifying the accused as the number three most wanted individual in the entire Rizal province.
During initial statements following his arrest, the suspect admitted to having a relationship with the minor victim, stating that they had met through social media.
He claimed that the young girl's parents were against their relationship, which he believes prompted them to file the complaint.
While acknowledging that his actions were wrong, he also asserted that the carnal acts were consensual and that he did not use force or intimidation against the minor.
“Mayroon pong nangyari pero parehas naman naming ginusto. Hindi ko siya tinakot, hindi ko siya sinaktan. Sana po mapatawad nila ako,” the suspect reportedly said.
The accused is now in the custody of the Teresa Police and is facing serious charges of abuse of a minor. Authorities have indicated that no bail has been recommended in this case, underscoring the gravity of the allegations.
Police Colonel Maraggun took the opportunity to issue a strong call to parents, urging them to be especially vigilant in safeguarding their children, particularly minors, emphasizing that they should always be under parental supervision.
“Sa ating mga magulang paka-ingatan ang ating mga anak lalo na mga minor, supposed to be nasa poder natin 'yan palagi,” P/Col. Maraggun said.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of protecting children and the severe legal repercussions for those who exploit and abuse them.
