Common election paraphernalia in the Philippines include ballots, which are used by voters to select their chosen candidates, and vote counting machines (VCMs) that scan and tally the votes. Ballot boxes are also essential, as these are where voters drop their completed ballots. Election returns and tally sheets are official documents used to record the results at each precinct. Indelible ink is applied to a voter's finger after casting a vote to ensure no one votes more than once. Voter's lists and precinct folders help poll officials verify registered voters. Lastly, campaign materials like posters and streamers are widely used by candidates to promote their platforms and gain public support.
