Two armed men stormed a Japanese restaurant along Arnaiz Avenue in Makati City on the evening of May 4, taking the belongings of unsuspecting customers in a brazen robbery.

According to reports, the suspects brandished firearms as they moved swiftly through the restaurant, intimidating patrons and collecting valuables, including wallets and mobile phones.

CCTV footage reviewed by authorities captured the moment one of the robbers took a wallet from a Japanese customer and casually slipped it into his pocket.

The incident appeared to be over in just minutes, with the robbers quickly fleeing the scene.

However, the crime took an unexpected turn.

Roughly a minute after their escape, one of the perpetrators returned to the restaurant—not to continue the robbery, but to give back a cellphone that had just been stolen.

Police found the act bizarre. In a report by GMA Integrated News, P/Maj Anthony Bagsik, Commander of Substation 5, remarked, “The demeanor of the suspects was quite unusual.”

Despite the surprising return of the phone, Bagsik emphasized that authorities remain committed to apprehending the individuals responsible.

Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage and collecting witness statements as part of their pursuit of the suspects.

The incident has raised concerns about public safety in the area, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

In a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' he and other family members went to a Pasay funeral facility where the initial processing of the deceased victims was made. The OFW father of the girl victim personally took his daughter's remains and will be bringing them to Lipa City, Batangas.
