After two years and five months of longing, Malia's innocent exclamation, "Mami, may daddy na ako yeheyyy!" resonated with the bittersweet reality of many families separated by overseas work.
The video posted on Danmark's page and shared by GMA News poignantly captured Malia’s innocent questions about her father’s absence during school events and graduation pictures.
“Alam mo ung part kc na nkklungkot sa twing sinasabi ni malia na bkit ung mga clsmate nya may daddy.. bkit don sa graduation my daddy sila bkit sa graduation pic may daddy sila bkit ako wala,” Cynthia wrote what Malia have always told her.

In related news, it was learned that two of the individuals injured at the NAIA 1 Terminal SUV incident were also relatives of the 4-year-old Malia, who died. According to Danmark Masongsong, the father of Malia, his mother and "pamangkin," including his wife were in the ambulance, but his daughter was nowhere to be seen, as per the report of GMA News. He then narrated how he discovered his daughter pinned beneath the car. Now, he simply wanted the driver to be held liable for the death of his daughter.
Meanwhile, the driver involved in the fatal NAIA crash has faced inquest proceedings, as confirmed by NAIA Police Station 1. He is charged with reckless imprudence resulting in two counts of h&micide, multiple physical injuries, and damage to property, according to ABS-CBN News. The incident led to the deaths of two individuals and left several others injured after the SUV plowed into pedestrians and vehicles. Authorities continue to investigate the crash, while victims’ families demand accountability and justice.
