The young girl’s father, Danmark Masongsong, shared the heartbreaking moment he realized his daughter was missing—and then discovered her body beneath the vehicle.

“Paglabas ko po, nakita ko po yung mga magulang ko, pati yung aking pamangkin, pati yung aking asawa nasa ambulansya. Yung pong anak ko, hinahanap ko po, wala, di ko po makita,” the father recounted.

After searching frantically and receiving no clear answers from police officers on the scene, he was told that Malia had not yet been accounted for.

“Pinagtanong ko sa mga pulis, di daw o nila alam, kasi di pa po nache-check,” he added.
What came next shattered him. “Pagtingin ko po dun sa ilalim ng sasakyan, dun ko na po nakita,” he said, his voice breaking.

Masongsong’s wife, parents, and niece all sustained injuries from the crash, but the loss of Malia has left an irreparable void in their lives.

As the investigation continues, he said his only wish now is to see justice served.

He said that he wants justice for his family.

The incident has sparked outrage and grief, with families of the victims demanding accountability and improved safety measures around the airport.

In a previous report by KAMI, the Land Transportation Office has already taken action on the driver of the SUV that rammed people in NAIA Terminal 1. On their Facebook page, the agency said they put the driver's license on preventive suspension for 90 days while investigations are still ongoing. It can be recalled that the SUV suddenly accelerated, resulting in 2 casualties and a couple of people injured. An SCO has already been issued against the registered owner of the SUV and the driver involved in the tragic incident.

Additionally, the Overseas Filipino Worker, father of the 5-year-old girl victim in the NAIA Terminal 1 incident yesterday, has no longer proceeded to leave the country. In a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' he and other family members went to a Pasay funeral facility where the initial processing of the deceased victims was made. The OFW father of the girl victim personally took his daughter's remains and will be bringing them to Lipa City, Batangas.
