The driver of the SUV involved in the fatal crash at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has undergone inquest proceedings, according to a statement from NAIA Police Station 1.

Authorities confirmed that the suspect now faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in two counts of h&micide, multiple physical injuries, and damage to property.
The incident, which occurred within the NAIA complex, led to the deaths of two individuals and left several others injured.
Initial investigations revealed that the SUV, driven at high speed, lost control and plowed into a group of people and nearby vehicles.

Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle showed no signs of slowing down before the collision.
The suspect, who has not been publicly identified, was taken into custody shortly after the crash.
He was subjected to standard procedures including sobriety testing and questioning by authorities.
The inquest proceedings mark the beginning of formal legal actions, as prosecutors determine whether there is sufficient evidence to file charges in court.
The victims' families are calling for justice, urging authorities to hold the driver accountable for the fatal crash.
Meanwhile, airport officials are working closely with law enforcement to review surveillance footage and assess if lapses in traffic control within the airport premises contributed to the tragedy.
The NAIA police have assured the public of a thorough investigation as the case proceeds.

An SCO has already been issued against the registered owner of the SUV and the driver involved in the tragic incident.
Additionally, the Overseas Filipino Worker, father of the 5-year-old girl victim in the NAIA Terminal 1 incident yesterday, has no longer proceeded to leave the country. In a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' he and other family members went to a Pasay funeral facility where the initial processing of the deceased victims was made. The OFW father of the girl victim personally took his daughter's remains and will be bringing them to Lipa City, Batangas.
