The Land Transportation Office has already taken action against the driver of the SUV that hit several people at NAIA Terminal 1.

In a post on their Facebook page, the agency announced that the driver's license has been placed under preventive suspension for 90 days while the investigation is still ongoing.

It can be recalled that the SUV suddenly accelerated, leading to 2 fatalities and several others injured.

A Show Cause Order has already been issued to both the registered owner of the SUV and the driver involved in the tragic incident.

“First, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the family of the two persons who died as a result of this unfortunate accident. Talagang nakakalungkot ang balitang ito dahil kasama sa nasawi ay isang bata na anak ng isa nating kababayan OFW,” said LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II

"We already issued an SCO asking both the registered owner and the driver to appear before our office and explain the incident as part of our investigation,” Mendoza added.

Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
