"Mayroong dalawang namatay kasama na 'yung batang-batang five-year-old daughter ng OFW," Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon confirmed in an interview with Super Radyo dzBB.
"3 ang injured na dinala sa San Juan de Dios Hospital... Ang initial report, I think okay naman," he added.
The Philippine Red Cross said the incident occurred around 8:55 a.m. and deployed five ambulances and 18 volunteers to assist.
“The driver of the Ford Everest is in custody right now,” Dizon confirmed, adding that CCTV footage suggests the crash was unintentional. “Mukhang hindi pumunta ‘yung driver para managasa. Hindi intentional."
