The man was identified as Rene Reyes, 46 years old. He was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention, but eventually died.
In another video, the lifeless body of another victim was being carried out of the seawater. He was 23 years old and sustained serious injuries to the head.
The deceased victims both sustained serious injuries to the head and face.
The cause of the incident wasn't clear yet; meanwhile, Bien Unido denied the rumors online that the authorities purposely crashed into the victims' boat because they were illegally fishing.
"That was sure, ma'am, hundred percent, wala talaga. Hindi talaga 'yun sea vessel ng PNP ma'am," said LT.JOTHAM GUMINIFIN, BIEN UNIDO MPS.
"Regardless of any alleged wrongdoing, no person deserves to suffer such violence. Justice must always be pursued through lawful and humane means. The loss of life and the suffering inflicted upon these individuals and their families are unacceptable and deeply saddening," Bien Unido Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office said in a statement.
