12 people were reportedly killed in a multiple-vehicle crash involving five vehicles at the SCTEX Toll Plaza (northbound).
The Philippine Red Cross shared in a Facebook post that the tragic incident occurred at around 12:18 PM today.
The vehicles involved included three SUVs, a container truck, and a Solid North passenger provincial bus.
According to the initial report from the Tarlac Provincial Hospital, eight people were confirmed dead at first, while 28 others sustained injuries.

However, in a later report by GMA News on their Facebook account, the death toll has gone up to 12.
The injured victims were all brought to the same facility for immediate medical attention.
On Facebook, the Philippine Red Cross also added that "The incident site is approximately 43 kilometers or about an hour away from the PRC Tarlac Chapter."
