According to a report by Frontline Pilipinas of News5, the victims were seen in high spirits just hours before the incident, laughing and enjoying each other’s company in a video they posted online.
The victims were identified as Joan Villegas, the bakery owner; his sibling Joseph Villegas; nephews Rodel and Rommel Villegas; cousins Leo Versoza and Roel Sabala; and a 15-year-old boy, Mico Reyes.
All were related and had been working or spending time together at the bakery before the tragic attack.

Initial investigations reveal that the victims sustained blunt force trauma to the head, and some were reportedly stabbed.
Reporter Gary De Leon noted in his segment said, “Pinainom ng pampatulog, pinukpok sa ulo, at sinaksak ang mga biktima,” suggesting that the victims may have been drugged before being assaulted.
The primary suspect, "Bogart," allegedly a co-worker and part-owner of the bakery, claims self-defense, but the victims’ relatives are not convinced.
They suspect the crime was premeditated, pointing out suspicious behavior including the sudden departure of someone close to the suspect and the rehoming of the suspect's dogs days prior.
As the investigation continues, the victims’ families are demanding justice, rejecting the self-defense claim and calling for a thorough probe into what they believe was a carefully planned massacre.

Still in other news, a 43-year-old rider of a motorcycle taxi was stabbed by the passenger who booked him for a ride. According to the report of Unang Balita of GMA Integrated News, the passenger was from Recto Ave. and asked the rider to bring him to the place where the stabbing incident happened. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds, and the incident happened in Quezon City around 5 a.m. A resident sought the help for the rider, and barangay personnel immediately brought him to the hospital.
