Around 500 houses were completely destroyed by fire in Barangay 123, Tondo, Manila.

The blaze was so intense that it was raised to Task Force Charlie, as reported by TV 5’s 'Frontline Pilipinas.'

Around 1,500 families were affected by the massive fire, though many residents tried to help one another in saving what they could.

The fire spread quickly because of strong winds and the houses being made of light materials.

Also, according to the firefighters, extinguishing the fire became hard because of the lack of a water source.

There was also a fire in the port area, that's why the firefighters were divided, resulting in raising the alert level of the fire in Barangay 123.

It was around 7:00 AM when the fire was controlled by the firefighters.

One of the causes the BFP has on its list was allegedly an unattended candle and an electrical wire.

An estimated value of 10 million was the damage brought by the fire. In the meantime, affected residents will be staying in the barangay's covered court.

Meanwhile, authorities are still investigating the real cause of the fire incident.

Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
