A police officer is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a residence past 1 a.m. and assaulting its occupants.

The incident, which occurred in Quezon City, was captured on video by one of the residents and was featured in a report by GMA News.
In the footage, the suspect—identified as a staff sergeant—can be seen allegedly forcing his way into the house.
During an interview, a young man, whose name and age were not disclosed, claimed that the officer physically hurt them, including their elderly grandmother.

The video quickly circulated online, sparking outrage and calls for accountability.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect was arrested by his fellow officers and is now facing several charges.
These include violation of Republic Act 7610, which protects children from abuse, exploitation, and discrimination, as well as charges of physical injuries under the Revised Penal Code, and grave threats.
The suspect refused to give a statement regarding the incident.
As a result of the controversy and the seriousness of the allegations, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Brigadier General Melecio Buslig was relieved from his post. The Philippine National Police (PNP) noted that such acts are not tolerated.

According to the report of Unang Balita of GMA Integrated News, the passenger was from Recto Ave. and asked the rider to bring him to the place where the stabbing incident happened. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds, and the incident happened in Quezon City around 5 a.m. A resident sought the help for the rider, and barangay personnel immediately brought him to the hospital.
