A 30-year-old woman tragically lost her life after being stabbed by her live-in partner in Barangay Población, Talisay City, Cebu.

The incident occurred past 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, sending shockwaves through the quiet neighborhood, Brigada News PH reported.

According to the account of the victim’s sibling, they were walking together when the 38-year-old suspect suddenly approached them.

Without warning, he grabbed the victim by the hair and repeatedly stabbed her, leaving her fatally wounded.

The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

In his initial statement to authorities, the suspect admitted to committing the crime, claiming he was driven by jealousy and emotional distress.

He alleged that the victim was involved in an affair and that their relationship had already come to an end.

However, tensions escalated when the victim refused to give up custody of their 4-year-old daughter, which reportedly enraged the suspect further.

Authorities have taken the suspect into custody and are preparing to file charges.

As investigations continue, the family of the victim calls for justice and support for the orphaned child left behind by this heartbreaking act.

In other news, a riding in tandem robbed a parked car in Brgy. 756 Sta. Ana, Manila. The car is owned by the son of radio DJ John Gemperle, more popularly known as Papa Jackson. Thereafter, one of the suspects broke the window, got inside the car, took a laptop, hard disk and P5,000 cash.

Still in other news, a 43-year-old rider of a motorcycle taxi was stabbed by the passenger who booked him for a ride. According to the report of Unang Balita of GMA Integrated News, the passenger was from Recto Ave. and asked the rider to bring him to the place where the stabbing incident happened. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds, and the incident happened in Quezon City around 5 a.m. A resident sought the help for the rider, and barangay personnel immediately brought him to the hospital.
