Seven people were confirmed dead following a brutal massacre at a bakery in Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City, authorities reported on Tuesday.

According to Police Colonel Felipe Maraggun, chief of Rizal police, the crime reportedly stemmed from a personal misunderstanding.
"Ngayong umaga ay na-confirm ng Antipolo component city police station may nangyaring multiple-murder incident sa isang bakery," Maraggun said in an interview with TeleRadyo Serbisyo.
Initial reports indicated that local authorities were alerted early Tuesday morning by a barangay watchman who reported a violent altercation at the scene.

"Aniya, natanggap nila ang ulat umaga ng Martes mula sa isang tanod sa barangay na nagsabing may naganap na 'stabbing incident' sa lugar," Maraggun added.
Upon arrival and investigation at the crime scene, police discovered seven lifeless bodies.
"During the crime scene processing ay pito ang confirmed na patay," the Rizal police chief confirmed.
The suspect, whose identity has not yet been publicly disclosed, has since surrendered to the Philippine National Police headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
Authorities are currently conducting a deeper investigation to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident.
This tragic event has shocked the local community, with residents mourning the sudden and violent loss of lives.
The bakery has since been cordoned off as investigators continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

According to the report of Unang Balita of GMA Integrated News, the passenger was from Recto Ave. and asked the rider to bring him to the place where the stabbing incident happened. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds, and the incident happened in Quezon City around 5 a.m. A resident sought the help for the rider, and barangay personnel immediately brought him to the hospital.
