A pair of pliers was seen clenched in his mouth as he maneuvered. The video also captured the presence of his suspected accomplice, identified as a minor.
Vincent Manuel Villaseñor, the individual who recorded the scene, initially mistook the two individuals for utility workers.
“Nakita ko ‘yung mama. Sabi ko bakit ang aga nito na nagkukumpuni ng wire ng kapitbahay ko. Sabi ko hindi yata naka-uniporme ‘yung tao. So that was the time na I grabbed my cellphone and then kinunan ko ng video. Before going down, before jumping off, pinutol nila uli ‘yung wire. So sabi ko, babalikan nila ‘to,” Villaseñor recounted.
The video clearly shows both the minor, who emerged from the creek, seemingly acting as a lookout, and the 21-year-old man performing the wall-scaling act.

Footage from a barangay CCTV camera further corroborated their presence in the area, capturing them walking together.
Adding another layer to the incident, the president of the local Homeowners Association had a prior encounter with one of the suspects, who was reportedly already known in the subdivision.
“Dahil nga markado na siya sa subdivision, tinanong ko pa siya. Sabi ko, ‘Saan ka na naman galing? Ba't nandito ka sa loob ng subdivision?’ Sabi niya, ‘Meron lang akong tiningnan na gagawin ko doon pres’,” Sonny Borromeo, the President of Greenheights Newtown Subdivision Homeowners Association, stated.
This suggests a pattern of suspicious activity in the neighborhood.
Further investigation revealed that the two individuals were allegedly engaged in scavenging and had a history of stealing wires from houses near the creek.
A follow-up operation by authorities led them to the suspects' hideout, where they also discovered aluminum foil, commonly associated with illegal drug use.
The minor suspect was apprehended by law enforcement officers past 1:00 AM on Thursday.
However, the man who exhibited the remarkable climbing skills and allegedly carried out the actual theft remains at large, with authorities continuing their search.
The incident has drawn significant attention online, with many netizens commenting on the audacity and unusual method employed in the alleged crime.

In related news, Police Brigadier General Elmer Ragay was removed from his post as head of the AKG after the high-profile abduction and killing of Anson Que and his driver. PNP Chief Police General Rommel Marbil cited dissatisfaction with General Ragay's performance as the primary reason for the relief and his subsequent replacement. The discovery of Anson Que and his driver's remains in Rodriguez, Rizal, days after their abduction, highlighted the urgency for more effective anti-kidnapping measures.
