The Philippine National Police (PNP) has confirmed that the black Lexus discovered along Seminary Road in Quezon City belonged to Chinese businessman Anson Que.

This development was shared by PNP spokesperson Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, according to a report by ABS-CBN News.

The luxury vehicle was last used by Que and his driver before both were reported missing on March 29.

The search ended tragically on April 9, when their bodies were found stuffed inside a nylon bag and dumped by the roadside at around 6 a.m. in Sitio Udiongan, Barangay Macabud, Rodriguez, Rizal.

In a statement released by the family’s legal counsel, Atty. Mei Go, it was confirmed that the family had been informed about the grim discovery.

“The Philippine National Police, particularly the Anti-Kidnapping Group, is already conducting its investigation on the matter,” Go said, as quoted in a GMA News report.
She further conveyed the family's deep sorrow and their call for justice: “The spouse and children of Mr. Anson Tan, who are presently grieving their loss, fully support the action of the PNP-AKG to bring the perpetrators to justice.”

The shocking incident has raised concerns over the safety of business owners in the country and prompted calls for stronger measures against criminal activity.

As the PNP’s Anti-Kidnapping Group intensifies its investigation, the public and the family await further updates, hopeful that those responsible for the brutal crime will be swiftly identified and held accountable.

Meanwhile in other news, a barangay chairman in Sta. Maria, Pangasinan died after he was shot but a still unknown gunman. According to the report of Balitanghali of GMA Integrated News, the victim was driving a tricycle. A man at the roadside then signaled for him to stop, and when he did, he was shot by the perpetrator. The gunman immediately fled the scene, but authorities already have a person of interest.
