The rescue operation became hard because the victim fell on "spaghetti wires" of electricity.
To commence the rescue, the electric power in the area was temporarily shut down. While the construction in the building where the victim was working was also put to a halt.
The victim was already discharged from the hospital after suffering wounds and burns on his hands.
Meanwhile, the company that owns the building promised to take care of the victim's medical bills.
In the Philippines, liability for a construction worker who is electrocut3d and falls from a building can involve the employer, contractor, site engineer, electrician, or even the property owner, depending on the circumstances.
Employers are primarily responsible for ensuring worker safety through training, proper equipment, and adherence to safety protocols, while others may be liable if their negligence contributed to unsafe conditions.
Legal consequences can range from compensation and civil damages to criminal or administrative charges under laws such as the Labor Code, the OSH Law, and the Civil Code.
