Electrician, nagnakaw ng P10.2 milyong halaga ng alahas at mga valuables sa nire-renovate na bahay

A couple’s trust was shattered after discovering that their hired electrician had allegedly stolen their valuables worth over ₱10.2 million.

According to a report by ABS-CBN News, “Elmer” and his wife returned home only to find that jewelry, a 9mm firearm, and other expensive items were missing.
With the help of the Quezon City Police District's Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit, the couple was able to track one of the stolen items through an AirTag.
“May AirTag 'yun, hindi niya basta-basta malalaman na may AirTag. Talagang napakabait ng Diyos,” said the victim, explaining that the tracking device showed the suspect was only a two-minute drive away.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Roldante Sarmiento, Station Commander of QCPD PS15, shared that they located the suspect's vehicle and patiently waited for around five hours until the suspect returned.
Upon his arrival, officers arrested him and recovered the stolen items from the car’s trunk.
The suspect, who reportedly has a prior record of stealing from a relative, remained silent and offered no comment following his arrest.
The previous incident was not pursued legally by the victimized relative.
Elmer is determined to press charges and will be filing a case for qualified theft against the electrician.

Still in Negros Occidental, a 53-year-old woman died and two others were injured after being hit by a pickup truck while jogging in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City. The incident occurred when the group of women briefly stopped their jog to take photographs, leading to the collision with the vehicle. The pickup truck driver, Fernando Oquina, stated that he did not see the women on the road prior to the collision. The family of the victim is determined to file a case.
Meanwhile in other news, a barangay chairman in Sta. Maria, Pangasinan died after he was shot but a still unknown gunman. According to the report of Balitanghali of GMA Integrated News, the victim was driving a tricycle. A man at the roadside then signaled for him to stop, and when he did, he was shot by the perpetrator. The gunman immediately fled the scene, but authorities already have a person of interest.
