A heated altercation over dirty laundry between two members of the Special Action Force (SAF) turned deadly after one officer shot and killed his fellow patrolman within the SAF compound.

According to a report by Net25, the incident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. on April 1.

The two officers, both holding the rank of patrolman, reportedly argued over the use of the bathroom for laundry.

The suspect had allegedly told the victim not to bring his dirty laundry into the bathroom while others were using it.

This led to a physical confrontation, during which the victim punched the suspect.

In response, the suspect drew his service firearm and shot the victim.

PCPT. LJ Alteza, spokesperson for the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office, confirmed the incident.

The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities have taken the suspect into custody, and further investigations are ongoing.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has yet to release an official statement regarding the suspect’s charges and any disciplinary actions that will be taken.

The SAF community mourns the loss of one of its officers due to an avoidable dispute.

Meanwhile, a female graduating criminology working student who works as a service crew of a large fast food chain died after her motorcycle collided with a pickup. Another female service crew, who was backriding on the motorcycle was brought to the hospital, and is recovering from fractures. The 26-year-old victim was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Investigation showed that the pickup driven by a 23-year-old bank teller counterflowed.

In other news, an elderly man died after he and his wife were ambushed while travelling aboard their pickup truck along a national highway in Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur. According to a report by GMA Regional TV News, the 77-year-old male died while his 66-year-old wife suffered injuries. Reports also state that the 77-year-old male was identified as a manager at an agri-machinery company. Investigators say that the two were tailed by motorcycle-riding gunmen and when they got to a certain, they opened fire, fatally injuring the 77-year-old male and inflicting injuries to his wife.
