According to a report by GMA News, authorities were able to identify the suspect only through CCTV footage, which captured the tragic incident.
Atty. Heidi Caguioa, the program director of the Animal Kingdom Foundation, stated that the suspect expressed remorse for the act.
However, she emphasized that the act of harming an animal over stolen food was unjustifiable.
