A 23-year-old Filipina was rescued from her Taiwanese boyfriend after she allegedly suffered abuse at his hands.

The incident, reported by GMA Integrated News, took place when the victim discreetly sought help while booking a ride through a ride-hailing app.
According to reports, the woman managed to send distress messages to her driver, alerting him to her dangerous situation.
The quick-thinking rider immediately drove to the nearest police station and informed authorities of the victim's plea for help.

Responding swiftly, law enforcement officers accompanied the rider to the hotel where the Filipina was staying with her boyfriend.
Upon their arrival, the Taiwanese man surrendered without resistance.
The authorities ensured the victim’s safety and facilitated an agreement between the two at the barangay level.
Both parties ultimately decided to part ways, putting an end to their troubled relationship.
Following the incident, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reminded the public that anyone facing abuse or danger should not hesitate to contact the police directly for assistance.
