In an emotional video uploaded on Instagram by GMA Public Affairs, the mother of the 14-year-old student in Parañaque who was stabbed to death by a schoolmate is seen wailing and expressing her heartbreak and grief over the tragedy.

An elderly woman is also seen in the video doing her best to comfort the grieving mother, who was sitting in front of her daughter’s coffin during the wake, which is being held at their residence.

In an interview with GMA News earlier, the victim’s mother opened up about the incident that led to her daughter’s death. She denied the earlier report that the victim was the one who was bullying the suspect before the crime happened.

“Siya po ang binu-bully, inaabangan po daw po siya sa school para patayin siya."

"Sabi niya o sa akin, alam na alam ko ang oras, 20 minutes para mag-alas siyete."

"Umupo ang anak ko sa harap. Sinabi niya masakit ang paa niya aat tumakbo siya at nasira ang sapatos niya, binato yung medyas sa washing."

Her daughter also said that she might not be coming to school the following day, but she would have to because there's practice.

"Mama baka di ako pumasok ng school bukas. Pero may practice."

"Nagsumbong na po siya sakin, Feb. 5, alas nwebe ng gabi. Natutulog na kami."

"'Mama inaaway ako ng classmate kong bakla...Baka ingggit sa kagandahan ko', Yun ang sabi ng anak ko."

Meanwhile, a female graduating criminology working student who works as a service crew of a large fast food chain died after her motorcycle collided with a pickup. Another female service crew, who was backriding on the motorcycle was brought to the hospital, and is recovering from fractures. The 26-year-old victim was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Investigation showed that the pickup driven by a 23-year-old bank teller counterflowed.

In other news, an elderly man died after he and his wife were ambushed while travelling aboard their pickup truck along a national highway in Buluan, Maguindanao del Sur. According to a report by GMA Regional TV News, the 77-year-old male died while his 66-year-old wife suffered injuries. Reports also state that the 77-year-old male was identified as a manager at an agri-machinery company. Investigators say that the two were tailed by motorcycle-riding gunmen and when they got to a certain, they opened fire, fatally injuring the 77-year-old male and inflicting injuries to his wife.
