Police Major Elmer Rabano, Deputy Chief of Police of the Antipolo Component City Police Station, stated that the suspect arrived and began verbally abusing the two victims.
“Itong ating suspect bigla pong dumating at pinagmumura po itong ating dalawang victim,” Police Major Rabano stated.
One of the individuals present during the drinking session, identified as alias “Gar”, recounted that the suspect, identified as alias “RR,” 33 years old, appeared to be intoxicated.
Approximately 20 minutes later, the suspect returned, this time armed with a sumpak. A struggle ensued when one of the victims attempted to seize the weapon. During the altercation, the improvised firearm discharged.
The gunfire resulted in injuries to one of their companions, and Gar sustained a wound to his left shoulder.

Authorities reported that the suspect fled the scene following the shooting. However, he was apprehended during a follow-up operation at a local hospital.
The suspect admitted to discharging the firearm, but maintained that his intention was merely to intimidate the group.
He now faces charges of frustrated h0micide and violations of the Omnibus Election Code. This event has caused concern within the local community.
