“He ordered four meals, and I was working alone, single duty, so I took all his orders. I briefly went inside to prepare his order,” the owner explained.
While the owner was preparing the order, the man took a seat and began surveying the surrounding area.
Moments later, he approached the counter and peered into the kitchen. Seizing an opportunity, he then snatched the owner's charging cellphone.
After a brief period of sitting back down, the man fled the scene with the stolen device.
“He didn't pay for anything. I didn't suspect him because he seemed normal. He probably noticed I was alone, which gave him the chance to steal,” the owner recounted.

As of the current report, the restaurant owner has not yet filed a formal complaint with the authorities.
However, the barangay officials have indicated their willingness, along with the police, to assist the victim in pursuing the case.
