Meanwhile, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) condemned the animal cruelty and encouraged people to report any animal cruelty-related incident if they see one.
In a Facebook post, PAWS wrote:
"PAWS is deeply outraged by the brutal stabbing of Tiger, an Aspin, in a market in Subic. Tiger passed away shortly after the attack, unable to recover from his incredibly severe wounds. PAWS strongly condemns this horrific act of animal cruelty, and we are appalled that anyone could subject an innocent animal to such senseless violence."
They added:
"Those who commit such violent acts against animals pose a danger to society as a whole. Abusers of animals are often capable of inflicting harm on humans as well. By taking a stand against animal cruelty, we are fighting for the safety and well-being of people. Standing up against animal abuse is not just a moral obligation—it is a necessary step in creating a safer, more just society."
