She said she doesn't want to be detained knowing that something bad could happen to them during her absence.
In light of the situation, it was explained to her that there's no motion yet indicating that the House wanted to put her in contempt.
It can be recalled that another blogger, Krizette Chu, also appeared in the same hearing and apologized for her "tanga" remarks towards the government which she posted on December 28, 2024.
It's worth noting that in February 2025, Reyes was among approximately 40 social media influencers invited by the Philippine House of Representatives' tripartite committee to participate as resource persons in a hearing addressing the proliferation of fake news and disinformation online. The committee aimed to understand the impact of misinformation on public perception and national security, as well as to explore potential measures to combat it.
