Krizette Chu, a well-known social media personality, was in tears during her appearance at the congressional hearing today.

Chu, along with other social media figures, was invited by the House of Representatives to address the widespread issue of fake news and disinformation.

She was questioned by Rep. Bienvenido Abante, who brought up a social media post she made on December 28, 2024.

Rep. Abante specifically pointed out her post where she referred to the government as "tanga."

Chu said she wasn't sure what exactly happened that day but she immediately apologized to Rep. Abante for what she wrote and for calling the government "tanga."

She said she was just carried away by her emotions.

At one point, Chu was even crying and heard sobbing while issuing her apology for making such remarks toward the government.

Rep. Abante, on the other hand, accepted the apology, and reiterated that Chu's post was "fake news."

Krizette Laureta Chu is a Filipino social media personality and blogger known for her active presence on platforms like Facebook. She gained prominence as a supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte and has been associated with other bloggers such as Mocha Uson.
