A student in Barangay Calzada, Taguig City, was robbed after being convinced to ride on a motorcycle with the suspect.

The unusual method of the crime was captured on CCTV footage, which showed both the suspect and the student appearing calm, giving no indication that a robbery was taking place.
In the video, the student is seen getting off the motorcycle after traveling a considerable distance with the suspect.
As the suspect drove away, he was observed putting something into his pocket, which was believed to be the student’s cellphone.

According to the victim’s statement to GMA News, he had been on his way to pick up a friend when the suspect approached him, inquiring about three individuals the victim knew.
The suspect then asked for his assistance in locating them.
As they traveled further, the suspect requested to borrow the student’s phone to call the supposed individuals.
However, he never returned the device and even threatened the student to prevent him from resisting.
“Babarilin daw po niya ako mama,” the victim’s mother recounted, indicating that the suspect had warned of shooting her son.
Following the incident, both the student and his mother reported the crime to the authorities.
Law enforcement officials are now investigating the case, reviewing the CCTV footage, and working to identify the suspect.
