While they were attempting to resolve the issue, the anchor chain unexpectedly gave way, striking both men.

According to Junry’s wife, Elsie Popera, she was able to speak with her husband's companion, Gollayan, via video call, who shared details about the harrowing incident.
Elsie also shared a video of their conversation, further confirming the circumstances surrounding her husband's death.
For a week now, Elsie has been mourning the loss of her husband, even though his body has yet to be returned as authorities are still awaiting the autopsy results.
She believes negligence played a role in the tragedy and is determined to seek justice for Junry.
She has expressed her intention to file a case to hold those responsible accountable for the accident.
Despite the devastating loss, Elsie has found some relief in the company's commitment to covering the expenses related to Junry’s passing.
However, she remains firm in her quest for justice, hoping that her husband’s death will serve as a wake-up call for better safety measures in the maritime industry.
