The International Criminal Court has officially appointed British-Israeli lawyer Atty. Nicholas Kaufman as the Lead Defense Counsel for FPRRD.
It can be recalled that FPRRD's camp initially selected Kaufman to head their legal team.
However, in a recent development, Vice President Sara Duterte confirmed that Atty. Salvador Medialdea and Atty. Harry Roque will no longer be part of FPRRD's legal counsel.
Notably, Atty. Kaufman has already spoken with the former president and assured that he will visit him daily as long as he is permitted.

In a Facebook post shared by GMA News, the ICC has released a copy of the confirmation stating that Atty. Kaufman has been officially assigned as FPRRD's Lead Defense counsel.
FPRRD's next appearance before the ICC is on September 23 for his confirmation hearing.

His name is Nicholas Kaufman, a British-Israeli lawyer, and among the appointed List of Counsels of the International Criminal Court. This has yet to be finalized, according to the report, they submitted the needed documents so they could add both Atty. Harry Roque and Kaufman to be their legal counsel.
