A military truck and a multicab were involved in a collision in Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental.

The incident occurred last Sunday at noon, resulting in two fatalities and four others injured.

CCTV footage showed the multicab making a left turn at a U-turn slot while the military truck was approaching from the opposite lane.

Military personnel and local residents worked together to place the victims inside an ambulance.

In a report by TV 5's 'Frontline Tonight,' the multicab was carrying a group of relatives.

The deceased passengers of the multicab who were pronounced as dead on arrival at the hospital were identified as Danilo Peping and Aniceta Peping.

While four other passengers of the multicab were injured.

According to investigations, the military truck came from Iligan City and going to Zamboanga City. It tried to catch up at the convoy which were military trucks as well.

Reportedly, the driver didn't notice the multicab.

"Naabutan siya ng red light. Nag-go na 'yung part ng 'yung sa multicab kaya nag-left turn siya. Hindi niya namalayan na papasok na pala 'yung multicab," said P/EMS Mark VAlles, Investigator on case of Laguindingan Police. "Naka-apply siya ng break kaso malapit na rin siya doon sa multicab kaya hindi na umabot."

The incident was put to a settlement by both parties. The military promised to take care all of the hospital bills of the injured passengers and memorial/burial expenses of the deceased victims.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
