Two engineers from the Department of Public Works and Highways were killed in an attack in Kidapawan City, Cotabato.

According to a report by TV5's 'Frontline Pilipinas Weekend,' five DPWH employees were inside a pickup truck when the incident happened.

They were on their way home when an armed suspect ambushed them, resulting in the deaths of two engineers.

The pickup driver was also shot, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into an electric post.

The three other companions of the deceased engineers were safe.

Police authorities are now investigating the shooting incident, what could be the reason behind the crime.

Meanwhile, the destroyed electric post was already replaced.
