Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa was nowhere to be found during the arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte yesterday.

In a report by TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' reporters tried to contact the senator, but all his lines were out of reach.

The report also mentioned that getting a statement from Bato was usually easy, but his current whereabouts remained unknown.

It can be recalled that he was also included in the ICC complaint for crimes against humanity, as he served as the PNP chief during Duterte's "War on Drugs" campaign.

The report also added that the last time Bato checked his Viber was Sunday, March 09.

Also, according to Sen. Dela Rosa's media manager, they wouldn't be issuing any statement about the former president's arrest.

According to the report, they also asked if Bato is still in the country but the senator's staff didn't answer.

It can be recalled that in his previous interviews, Bato said he will not hide once ICC releases an arrest warrant against him.

In a previous report by KAMI, Senator Imee Marcos has issued her statement about the recent arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte. In what seemed to be a press conference shared by ANC 24/7 on their YouTube channel, Senator Marcos showed sympathy to the former president. It can be recalled that FPRRD was arrested after a warrant of arrest was released by ICC against Duterte for crimes against humanity. However, Sen Imee claimed that she hadn't seen the warrant of arrest by the ICC following the former president's arrest.

In another viral news report related to this, Veronica Duterte, more popularly known as Kitty Duterte, daughter of former president Rodrigo Duterte, claimed that they're being illegally detained. In her Instagram stories, Kitty shared a photo of a medical certificate proving that her father needed immediate medical attention. This was after the recent arrest of the former president after the ICC reportedly issued a warrant of arrest against him for crimes against humanity. Prior to her post, an image of Duterte where his blood pressure was being taken circulated the internet.
