In a report by Marisol Abdurahman in GMA 7's '24 Oras,' the medicines were also being sold online.

Since the medicines were reported to be unregistered, health risks after taking them are possible.

The medicines were patronized given that they were cheaper compared to branded medicines.

According to reports, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Vietnamese POGO workers were the usual consumers of the medicines.

Arrested after the operation was a Chinese national.

Taking unregistered medicines can be dangerous due to unknown ingredients, incorrect dosages, or toxic substances that may cause severe side effects or allergic reactions. These drugs often lack proper quality control, meaning they could be contaminated, improperly manufactured, or stored in unsafe conditions, reducing their effectiveness.

Legally, possessing or selling them can lead to fines or legal consequences, and there is no consumer protection if they cause harm. Additionally, relying on unregistered medicines instead of seeking proper medical treatment can worsen health conditions and delay necessary care.
