A couple and their 7-year-old daughter were tragically killed after being trapped in a fire at their home in Zone 2, Brgy. Infante, Molo District, Iloilo City early Saturday morning, Frontline reported.

The deceased victims were identified as Louelyn Reyes, 49; her husband Julius Reyes; a fellow teacher at the Special for the Arts program of the Iloilo City National High School; and their daughter Amber Marie.
According to the Iloilo City Fire Marshall, the fire broke out inside the Reyes family home at around 4 a.m.
According to the investigation, Louela Gregorio’s twin brother heard the Reyes couple’s loud cries for help after they realized that their home was on fire.

However, Gregorio told investigators that they were unable to help his twin’s family because the couple’s home was covered in iron grills while their houses were also surrounded by concrete walls.
He insisted that they even tried to open the door of the victims' house but the fire was too big and the entire house was engulfed in thick smoke.
Relatives are mourning the death of the whole family, more so that all members died.

The stabbing incident was committed on March 02, 2025; the victim was identified as Alvin Dulos, 51 years old. As reported in TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the suspect, Jason Dalayon, was resting on a hammock when he saw the victim and called him. That's when the suspect stabbed the victim, multiple times; as reported, the victim sustained a total of 13 stab wounds.
