"Those are waste products for proper disposal in accordance with the environmental laws. Instead na itapon or i-dispose, ang ginagawa ay nire-recycle," said Nicolas Deloso Torre III, director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

Reusing cooking oil too many times can have serious health consequences, as it leads to the formation of harmful compounds. It increases the risk of heart disease by raising bad cholesterol (LDL) and lowering good cholesterol (HDL), while also contributing to inflammation and high blood pressure.

Overused oil can develop carcinogenic substances, which have been linked to certain cancers, particularly in the digestive system. Additionally, it may contain harmful bacteria and toxins that cause digestive issues such as bloating, diarrhea, and food poisoning.

Prolonged consumption can also burden the liver, leading to fatty liver disease and other complications, making it crucial to minimize reuse and opt for healthier cooking oils.
