A brand-new minivan, recently won in a raffle, plunged into the sea while being loaded onto a roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessel early morning on March 4, 2025.

According to GMA Regional TV’s Balitang Bisdak, the incident occurred as the vehicle was being transported from Cebu to Leyte.

The black minivan, which was supposed to be a dream prize for its lucky winner, met an unfortunate fate when it slipped off the loading platform and fell into the water.

Eyewitnesses recounted how the vehicle was already positioned for boarding when it suddenly lost balance and rolled into the sea.

Thankfully, the driver managed to escape just in time, avoiding what could have been a tragic accident.

Authorities have yet to confirm the exact cause of the mishap, but initial reports suggest possible miscalculations during the loading process.

The incident has sparked concerns about safety protocols during RoRo operations, especially when handling brand-new or high-value vehicles.

Port personnel and transport operators are now being urged to exercise extra caution to prevent similar accidents in the future.

As investigations continue, it remains unclear whether the minivan can be retrieved or if the raffle winner will be compensated for the loss.

That's when the suspect stabbed the victim, multiple times; as reported, the victim sustained a total of 13 stab wounds.
