According to a report by Rgil Relator of GMA Regional TV on Balitanghali this past Wednesday, the victim was found dead on the bank of a creek in Barangay Catmondaan.

Police investigations revealed that the victim had been attacked with a bladed weapon by a neighbor with whom he had an ongoing dispute.

The suspect reportedly told investigators that he had reached his breaking point due to the victim's alleged bullying behavior, which included repeatedly calling him “baliw.”

The suspect also admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to the commission of the crime. He has expressed remorse for his actions.

The suspect is expected to face charges of h0micide. As of the time of reporting, no statements have been released by the victim's family.

Local authorities are reminding residents to seek peaceful resolutions to conflicts and to avoid resorting to violence.

In other news, a 15-year-old rider who was chased by the police on Marilaque Highay was taken into custody by authorities. In a video shared by GMA's Saksi, one could see the minor rider running on the highway on a very fast pace. The chase was from Baras, Rizal up to Antipolo. The minor was close to tears when he was caught and while he was not arrested, the motorcycle was impounded and the owner of the motorcycle will be made liable.

Still in other news, a 17-year-old male sustained injuries after three suspects waylaid him and stabbed him twice on the back. Authorities say the young male, who works as a “palero,” or one who shovels garbage, was riding a borrowed bicycle on his way to collect the day’s wages when the incident happened. The target of the three suspects allegedly was the borrowed bicycle he was riding as they attempted to seize it from him. The young man was stabbed in the process but was able to call for help, making it possible for him to be brought to the hospital immediately.
