The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has recently opened its doors for a tour for a TV contestant who has made headlines.
In the official report of GMA News, COMELEC Chairman George Erwin Garcia invited the woman to educate and explain their function.

"We fully understand her," Chairman Garcia began, before adding that perhaps a lot of Filipinos are the same as the viral contestant also.
Chairman Garcia also stated that it is their duty to explain what and how the poll body works, as per the report of the Manila Bulletin.

"Maaring madami pa na katulad niya na kabataan o mga Filipino. It is our solemn duty to explain who we are and what we are doing."
According to The Philippine Star, the invitation came after Heart Aquino, a contestant on the show, asked Vice what the COMELEC was.
Previously, during the show's Sexy Babe, Vice asked Heart to give a message to the COMELEC.
However, Heart initially failed to answer the question, and instead confessed that she is not that knowledgeable about the poll body.
Eventually, Vice asked Heart how old she was, and upon hearing her answer, Vice could not help but comment, "That's bothersome."
Despite their initial reactions, however, Vice and her co-host, Jhong Hilario, proceeded to explain what and how the COMELEC works.
After hearing their explanation, Heart managed to answer the question, which one of the judges, JC de Vera, proceeded to commend.
Eventually, after the issue made headlines, the It's Showtime hosts gave their opinions about it.
In the Philippines, the COMELEC serves as an independent constitutional commission that is responsible for overseeing and administering elections, plebiscites, initiatives, referendums, and recalls in the country, while ensuring a free, fair, and credible election by regulating campaign activities, handling voter registration, and resolving election-related disputes.
